New changes arise again in the planning and study by the Municipality of Paphos and the Ports Authority for the changes that will be implemented in the land area of the port of Kato Pafos, in the context of wider renovations and landscaping promoted by the Municipal Authority for the entire coastal front in the area of the pier.
Exclusive information of "F" states that at the heart of the processes being promoted for the port is once again the movement of the table seats of the catering companies, a fact that, as we are already informed, is causing reactions in business circles.
Based on this information, the co-competent organizations for the land area, namely the Ports Authority and the Municipality of Paphos, seem to finally end up removing all the table seats from the facades of the shops, in order to free up for pedestrians even more the walk way between shops and the coast. The service of businesses through the table seats will be done with the construction and installation of other metal structures-boxes, which have already been placed in the area and which, however, caused strong reactions for their aesthetics, considering them as completely foreign elements to the picturesqueness of the space.
The plans for the port, according to our revealing information, indicate that in addition to the aforementioned aspect, they will also promote the unified image of the facades of the buildings, defining single protective structures during the winter months, single signs and urban equipment.
