The Municipality of Paphos took another step closer to the implementation of the strategic goal of transforming the city into Smart and Digital, against an additional cost of €10 million. This is the direction of the tender that has been announced for the supply, installation, operation and maintenance of an integrated system for the intelligent management of water resources and water metering.
The estimated cost of the project is €9.8 million and the duration of implementation is 36 months. The terms of the Competition are posted in the electronic system of the Treasury of the Republic of Cyprus.
The new system will effectively contribute to reducing loss, improving quality and providing equal availability of water. It will include, inter alia, the implementation of a leakage prevention and detection system, the installation of 27,000 smart water meters with high accuracy and automatic metering, the implementation of a system for monitoring, controlling and fully automating the water supply network and the implementation of an automatic chlorination system.
This new system follows the recent installation of another "smart" parking system in all parts of the city, while the implementation of projects for modern and "smart" public transport is now expected.
