The Health Insurance Organization informs the public about the contact details of the personal doctor's (PD) on-call services for Friday (Epiphany), Saturday and Sunday on January 6, 7 & 8, 2023 per province.
It is noted that the contact details of the on-call services will be adjusted on a weekly basis and will be posted on the GHS website www.gesy.org.cy as well as on the official social media accounts of the Organization.
It is reminded that personal doctor's on-call services are provided to adults and children who are beneficiaries of the GHS on weekends and public holidays and include the provision of health care for emergency problems such as the acute onset of alarming symptoms, sudden and intense pain, worsening symptoms of serious chronic illness, high fever accompanied by other symptoms. Beneficiaries should not contact the on-call services for pre-existing medical conditions, issuing repeated prescriptions, issuing referrals to other services of the GHS or in cases where they do not have the time to visit their Personal Doctor.
The opening hours of the services are on weekends and public holidays at the following times:
Saturday: 9.00 – 17.00
Sunday and Public Holiday: 15.00 – 19.00

For their convenience, beneficiaries contact by telephone the on-call services of their province during the opening hours of the on-call services. After assessing the health problem, an appointment is arranged within the day and the opening hours of the on-call services. It is emphasized that, for the proper service of the beneficiaries, the services operate only with scheduled appointments.
