Filenews 12 January 2023
The trade unions SEK, PEO, DEOK, PASYDY, PASYKI and PASYNO. jointly decided to invite their members to the public hospitals of the SHSO, to carry out a 2-hour warning work stoppage, next Tuesday, January 17, 2023, between the hours of 8.30 a.m. and 10.30 a.m.
As they state in a joint statement, the work stoppage is carried out for non-compliance with the commitments of the Organization to conclude a collective agreement.
The guilds report that, despite warnings in two final letters dated 2.12.2022 and 15.12.2022, the SHSO was unduly delayed in setting a meeting in November to proceed with the discussion and conclude the conclusion of a collective agreement for staff hired on personal contracts by the end of December.
As stated "these were the commitments of the SHSO before the guilds from November 3, 2022. In these letters we called on the Agency to act immediately to proceed with the process in accordance with the relevant commitments and the Agency had been warned of obstruction on such a serious issue that adversely affects a very large number of employees."
The guilds had warned that failure to honour the Agency's commitments would inevitably lead to industrial unrest by taking forceful measures.
