Cyprus Airways announced that after lengthy negotiations it has secured a license and landing slots for the operation of up to three weekly flights to the United Arab Emirates city of Dubai (DXB).
According to today's announcement by Cyprus Airways, flights will operate to and from Dubai International Airport (DXB).
It is noted that this new route will connect Cyprus with the Emirates, creating multiple connectivity options with the Middle East, the Far East and many other global destinations.
"We are excited to announce today an important milestone in our plans to further connect Cyprus with the world. Opening flights to Dubai was high on our agenda and we worked very hard to secure rights and slots to perform such services. The United Arab Emirates is another important gateway to add to our ever-growing network. This important addition is in line with our obligation and plans to better serve local communities, businesses and open up new tourism opportunities in Cyprus," said Paul Sies, CEO of Cyprus Airways.
It is added that the three-and-a-half-hour flights will start with the airline's summer flight schedule for 2023 on March 27 and will be operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft. Please note that fares will start from €649.
According to the announcement of the program, the flight from Larnaca will be operated every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 15:15 (local time) with arrival time 19:45 (local time). The flight from Dubai to Larnaca is operated on the same days, with departure time 20:55 (local time) and arrival time 23:35 (local time)
