Two Syrian residents of Paphos were arrested on Tuesday night by the Police in Chloraka, after a check carried out found them in possession of drugs and offensive instruments. The two young Syrians were in a vehicle that was stopped for a traffic check.
The driver of the vehicle underwent a drug test with a positive indication, while in the possession of the passenger was found a quantity of cannabis which he claimed was intended for his own use.
Inside the vehicle, officers also found offensive instruments such as a knife, a wooden bat, and a golf club.
Both foreigners were arrested and detained.
