WHAT COVID MEASURES ARE STILL IN PLACE?

The measures that are still in force regarding the coronavirus, were published by the Ministry of Health on the occasion of the holidays.

Specifically:

Obligation to wear a protective mask:

  • Employees and visitors over 12 years old in hospitals, nursing homes, closed structures for vulnerable groups, outpatient clinics, medical centres, clinical laboratories, rehabilitation centres, pharmacies and public transport.
  • It is recommended to use a mask in crowded areas, in people who fall into the vulnerable groups of the population and in people who socialize with high-risk people.

Obligation to demonstrate a Safe Pass:

  • For visits to patients in public and private hospitals and to residents in nursing homes and closed facilities, the presentation of a 24-hour rapid antigen test or a 48-hour PCR for people over 6 years old (2 people per day, 1 person per visit) is required.
  • It is understood that in extremely urgent cases, the number of people and visits may be increased, provided that approval is obtained from the management of the hospital or structure.
  • Mobile units of the Ministry of Health provide free rapid antigen sampling (Rapid test) in the hospitals of the SHSO to serve patients, visitors and employees, during the hours 07 ꓽ 00 - 1900.
  • For visits to outpatient clinics, medical and diagnostic centres, clinics, rehabilitation centres and accommodation centres:
  • For people who do not hold a valid vaccination or recovery certificate: Rapid test valid for 48 hours or PCR valid for 72 hours.
  • For people holding a valid vaccination or recovery certificate: No obligation
  • For persons under the age of 6: No obligation

It is recommended that all citizens regardless of vaccination history undergo a self-test or a rapid antigen test (Rapid test) once a week.

  • Those citizens who show symptoms against COVID-19 or hold a Self-test with a positive indication should contact their Personal Doctor and will be referred for a free PCR test.
  • Those citizens who are declared as a close contact of a confirmed positive case, will receive a message from the Ministry of Health to conduct a free test on the 3rd and 5th day of contact, which will be carried out in clinical laboratories contracted with the Ministry of Health. Contracted clinical laboratories: https://bit.ly/3PHbUNV
