The Ministry of Health informs the consumer public that the Health Services of the Ministry, in the context of the official controls they carry out in the market, have sampled the three (3) following products, in which, after laboratory tests by the accredited laboratories of the General Chemical State Laboratory, residues of the non-permitted in the EU pesticide "Chlorpyrifos" were detected, beyond the maximum acceptable limits.
In the sample below under 2/a, residues of the EU-permitted pesticide "Malathion" were detected at levels beyond the maximum acceptable limits.
In the sample below under b/w, residues of the non-permitted in the EU pesticide "Profenofos" were detected at levels beyond the maximum acceptable limits.

food businesses that distribute these products in the Cypriot market, with instructions for immediate withdrawal and recall of all quantities of these batches.
As it is possible that some of these lots are already in the possession of consumers, they are urged to avoid consuming them and if they wish to return them to the places where they have bought them.
