In recent days, messages have been sent with an e-mail address of vat-refund@mof-gov.net, which concern spam, the Tax Department says.
Specifically, the Tax Department informs that, in recent days, it has been found that messages are being sent with an e-mail address of a sender vat-refund@mof-gov.net, which concern spam messages.
These messages bear, illegally, the logo of the Tax Department and refer to tax refunds with the following text:
"We inform you that your request for an automatic tax refund for the period from September 2022 to December 2022 has been approved. You can use our online portal or visit the nearest tax office: https://mof-gov.net/VAT540256"
Those who have received messages with the above characteristics are asked to ignore them.
It is noted that the Tax Department officially communicates ONLY through e-mail addresses which result in: @tax.mof.gov.cy
