Today, the trial of the case against the 74-year-old Briton, who is accused of the murder of his also British wife, committed last December in Tremithousa, is expected to continue.

It is the fourth adjournment given to the case, at the request of the prosecution, whose representatives asked for a short extension of time in order to further study the request to change the indictment.

The 74-year-old faces a charge of premeditated murder but according to what has been said before the Court there is a possibility that he will change his answer from non-admission to admission provided that he is now charged with manslaughter.

As reported to the Court, both sides have agreed to amend the indictment. The two sides arrived at the facts of the case, which allows the prosecution to vary the indictment. The defendant is now expected, as reported by the defence attorney, to change his response by admitting the charge of manslaughter. The 74-year-old faces a charge of premeditated murder but will now change his response from non-admission to admission on the condition that he is charged with manslaughter rather than premeditated murder.

According to the case history in December 2021, the 75-year-old Briton caused the death of his wife who was in the terminal stage of cancer, because, as he later said, he could not see her suffering. As he claimed, she herself asked him to relieve her of the horrible pains.
