Three officers of the Paphos Road Transport Department were suspended by decision of the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works and the criminal proceedings against them have already begun by the Police to which the relevant complaint was made.
These civil servants were suspected of interfering in the process of obtaining a driving license for candidates from Paphos driving schools, through the registration in the TFT system with codes of other schools so as not to raise suspicions.
Yiannis Karousos made a relevant complaint to the Police, on the occasion of the investigations that followed the finding of very high success rates recorded by certain driving schools in Paphos. This fact raised suspicions in the Control Service of the Ministry of Transport, which from the investigation it conducted confirmed the involvement of three officers of the Pafos TFT who were now suspended.
It is also reported that the administrative investigation carried out also revealed an attempt to destroy evidence.
