We saw this in Paphos too: A foreigner "stretched" his mattress literally in the middle of the busy avenue Tombs of the Kings and lay down, as if he were in his bedroom.
The incredible story took place at noon yesterday and surprised passing drivers were for a while faced with this different "obstacle" in the middle of the road. Fortunately, the worst for the man was avoided, since the drivers quickly perceived him and made sure to stop and avoid the point where this man "anchored".
The dangerous and unusual action had not made it clear why it was done until the police were called to the scene and removed him, although bystanders reported that the protagonist of this different case was complaining about the lack of assistance in finding a place to stay. However, in the comments of drivers to leave the middle of the road because he was in danger, he appeared... unconvinced: "Go, here's my way," was his response, according to several of them.
