The Google Pay™ digital wallet is now available for Hellenic Bank customers who hold Visa and Mastercard cards, ensuring even greater convenience and security in their daily transactions.
With this new initiative, Hellenic Bank enriches its available services, upgrading and simplifying even more the daily banking transactions, based on international technological developments.
With the new application, customers can make payments, simply and quickly, using only their Android phone or compatible watch, without the need to use a card in its physical form or type its PIN in the card acceptance terminal (POS).
The process of making a Google Pay™ transaction is easy and fast, as users simply approach their mobile phone or watch, near the terminal, to make a contactless payment. Users can use the service in all physical stores that have contactless payment terminals (POS), as well as in their online purchases, by choosing Google Pay™ as a means of payment.
The addition of Hellenic Bank's Mastercard and Visa debit and credit cards is done separately on each Android device, either through the Hellenic Bank Mobile App or through the Google Pay™ application, while the identification is done with biometric data or by filling in the One-Time Password (OTP) that the user receives by SMS on his mobile.
Installing the Google Pay™ app is easy and is done through the Play Store, in a simple way and a few steps, on all compatible mobile devices and smartwatches. The Google Pay™ digital wallet protects the customer's payment information with multiple layers of security. It is based on the technology of tokenization, where for the security of transactions an encrypted card number is created, which is used to complete the transaction.
Once the card is added to Google Pay™, the user has the opportunity to use it immediately, while continuing to enjoy the privileges provided by Hellenic Bank cards and the Blue card loyalty program.
