GESY PORTAL UPGRADED

 Filenews 24 November 2022

The Health Insurance Organisation informs the public that it has upgraded the GHS Beneficiary Portal, which is accessible through the GHS website, www.gesy.org.cy, by adding the following new functions:

A. Available Referrals - Access by Beneficiaries to the available referrals concerning them

Through this function, each beneficiary has the opportunity to be informed about all referrals issued to them under the GHS and for which the expiry date has not passed or have not been fully used. In particular, the beneficiary may see:

  • all referrals issued for the various categories of services (e.g. to a Specialist Doctor, to Inpatient Health Care, to Other Health Professionals, etc.)
  • all prescriptions for medicinal products and/or consumables (recurring and non-recurring),
  • all referrals for laboratory tests
  • all pre-approvals for specific services or products.

The available referrals can be accessed via the Home Page of the Beneficiary Portal by selecting either the "Available Referrals" section (1)

either through the "My file" section and then selecting "Available References"(2).

The new function is divided into four tabs, according to the category of citation (1). Each category presents all available referrals of the category, along with relevant information such as citation notes (2), diagnoses (3) number of repetitions, and the drugs/consumables (4) that have been added to it. In the case of a repeated prescription, the beneficiary can see the dates of the repetitions as well as the status of executions of the past iterations (open, not executed, partially executed, fully executed) (5). This screen also shows the number of times the recipe has been executed either partially or completely (6).

A1. Additional features for the functionality of available citations

A1.1 Hide Citations

In all categories, access by providers can be restricted by selecting the icon (7) in the "Privacy Status". In this case, providers cannot see the relevant reference, but the message "**Content has been restricted by the rightholder**". By selecting the icon again, "Privacy Status" is changed to "No Access Restriction" and the referral information is again available to providers.

A1.2 Printing Citations

In all categories there is the possibility of printing referrals, prescriptions and referrals of laboratory tests, by selecting the icon (8) . The corresponding file with the information of the referral is available on the computer for printing.

A1.3 Access Logging

In case of access of the providers to the available referrals, this is recorded in the access record of the beneficiary, to which the beneficiary has access through his account in the Beneficiary Portal, from the option "Access Log" (9).

B. Supplementation Information

With this function, the beneficiary now has the ability to view through the Beneficiary Portal and export a report in pdf format, the healthcare services received under the GHS and the corresponding Supplement in each case.

This function can be accessed through the "Beneficiary File" section of the Navigation Menu and then by selecting the option "Completion Information"(1) , or from the Home Page from the "Completion Information" section (2):

The page shows the status of Co-Payments for the current year. In case you wish, you can see the corresponding status for previous years, by selecting the year you want (3). The Maximum Annual Co-payment (4) shows the maximum amount provided for the payment of Co-payment upon receipt of services for the selected year.

In the search results, the columns Indicative Co-completion (5) and Co-completion (6) are presented. The 'Co-payment' column is only up to date for claims with a status of Submitted' while the column 'Indicative Co-payment' is up to date for all claims (either with a status of 'Submitted' or with a status of 'Pending submission').

It is clarified that, for claims that have been submitted, the indicative Supplement amount is the same as the Supplement amount. For claims that have not been submitted, the indicative Supplement amount may be differentiated in the event that other claims have been submitted beforehand.

In case the beneficiary wishes to set filters based on the status of the claim, he can either use filters (7) or use keywords e.g. "pharmacy". If he/she wishes to export a report with the Payouts status in pdf format, he/she must select the indication "Download Payment Status" (8) and the file will be automatically downloaded to his/her computer.

It is noted that access to the above functions presupposes that the beneficiary has an account in the Beneficiary Portal and has linked his Beneficiary File.

In case you need instructions to link your user account to your Beneficiary File, follow the https://www.gesy.org.cy/sites/Sites?d=Desktop&locale=el_GR&lookuphost=/el-gr/&lookuppage=hiobeneficiariesregistrationfaq link or call the GHS Service Center at 17000.
