Cyprus Airways in a statement says it is launching a Cyprus Airways Holidays platform that offers a single package, combining Cyprus Airways flights, the best hotels in Cyprus and all Cyprus Airways destinations, including airport transfers at great prices.
"As the Cyprus flag airline, we are determined to facilitate inbound travel. Every year we transport hundreds or thousands of customers, most of whom are tourists. It was a natural step for us to start offering package holidays," said Paul Sies, the airline's CEO.
He added that the website will offer packages with excellent value for money, cheaper than buying flights and accommodation separately.
He noted that this is the first step towards entering the package holiday market.
Morten Husby, CEO of TripX, which manages the entire technology platform and operations of Cyprus Airways Holidays, said that "as the preferred partner of many airlines in the field of travel planning and the dynamic sector of the business, we are very happy to contribute to Cyprus Airways' journey to become a major player in the tourism industry in Cyprus".
"The industry now has a new ability to promote and attract holidaymakers to the wonderful island. We now offer an extremely good product of great value to Cyprus Airways customers, both at home for tourists and abroad for the local market towards the growing number of airline destinations," he said.
The new destinations, Paris and Rome, are already included in the platform, while new destinations will be announced soon.
