Filenews 2 November 2022
As part of the efforts to better serve bedridden people who wish to be vaccinated with the updated twin vaccines that include the sub-variants BA.1, BA.4 and BA.5 of the Omicron variant (more information: https://bit.ly/3M6JXgm), the Ministry of Health informs that the administration of booster doses of vaccine will be done at home or in the patients' place of residence by specialized nurses, who will contact the applicants to arrange an appointment for vaccination, provided that the period of 5 months has elapsed since the previous booster dose of vaccine.
Beneficiaries are bedridden patients who have already completed their basic vaccination with the previous doses.
Beneficiaries should fill in the Application Form, which can be submitted by the patient himself/herself or his/her representative (his/her home) in cases where he/she is unable to do so. Subsequently, the Application Form, fully completed and signed by the applicant and the Personal Doctor, must be sent to the e-mail address cycomnet1@cytanet.com.cy or by fax to 22771496.
It is noted that people who during the initial phase of the vaccination program were not vaccinated, but are bedridden and wish to be vaccinated, can apply for home vaccination with 1st and 2nd dose, by completing the Application Form appropriately. This Form should be sent signed both by the beneficiary or his representative, as well as by the Personal Doctor to the e-mail address cycomnet1@cytanet.com.cy or by fax to 22771496.
