Of the 18 milestones of the 2nd payment application of the Cyprus Recovery and Resilience Plan, 8 have been achieved, 4 have almost been completed and 3 are in progress and are expected to be completed within the timeframes, while for 3 milestones there is a delay
The Council of Ministers, which met today under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic, President of the Parliament, Annita Demetriou, was informed about the progress observed in achieving the milestones of the 2nd and 3rd payment applications of the Cyprus Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP).
As stated by the Deputy Minister to the President, Petros Demetriou, the progress in achieving the 18 milestones of the 2nd payment application is as follows: Of the 18 milestones, 8 have been achieved, 4 have almost been completed and 3 are in progress and are expected to be completed within the timeframes, while for 3 milestones there is a delay.
According to Mr. Demetriou, efforts are focused on reaching the milestones of the 2nd and 3rd payment claims. According to the Operational Arrangements Agreement, the 2nd payment application relating to 18 milestones/targets with completion dates of the 1st and 2nd quarters of 2022 should be submitted to the EU by December 2022, while the 3rd payment claim concerning 30 milestones/targets with completion dates of the 3rd and 4th quarters of 2022 should be submitted to the EU by June 2023.
