3,736 NEW CASES, 8 DEATHS to w/ending 17 November

The Ministry of Health announces that for the week of November 11 - 17, 2022, 8 people died from coronavirus, while 3,736 new cases were detected. 70 COVID-19 patients are being treated in shsypy hospitals.

Specifically:

  • Woman, aged 72, who passed away on 30/08/2021
  • Man, aged 86, who passed away on 11/11/2022
  • Man, aged 80, who passed away on 12/11/2022
  • Woman, aged 71, who passed away on 12/11/2022
  • Woman, aged 96, who passed away on 12/11/2022
  • Woman, aged 91, who passed away on 15/11/2022
  • Woman, aged 76, who passed away on 16/11/2022
  • Woman, aged 84, who passed away on 17/11/2022
  • Total number of deaths with COVID-19 as the ultimate cause: 1,218.
  • 70 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in shsypy hospitals
  • 10 in serious condition (ICU: 0 off ventilator/1 intubated, MAF: 9)

Diagnostic tests:

  • A total of 70,769 diagnostic tests were performed
  • 3,736 new cases were detected (total cases 610,023).
  • Positivity rate in all tests 5,28%

Total number of molecular tests (PCR):

  • 2,215 molecular tests were performed
  • There were 209 positive cases
  • Positivity rate 9.44%

Total number of rapid antigen tests:

  • 68,554 rapid antigen tests performed
  • There were 3,527 positive cases
  • Positivity rate 5.14%

Private initiative:

  • 1,780 molecular tests were performed,138 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 7.75%)
  • 45,170 rapid antigen tests were performed, 3,248 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 7.19%)

Through the programs of the Ministry of Health, 23,384 rapid antigen tests were performed. 279 positive cases were identified.

  • Sampling points:13,984 rapid tests identified 153 positive cases (positivity rate 1.09%)

Education

  • Primary Education: 223 rapid antigen tests,positive case detected (positivity rate 0.45%)
  • Secondary Education: 33 rapid tests, no positive cases detected (positivity rate 0%)

Other

  • National Guard:25 rapid antigen tests performed, no positive cases detected (positivity rate 0%)
  • Nursing homes:4,902 rapid antigen tests were performed,81positive cases were identified (positivity rate 1.65%)
  • Closed facilities:4,217 rapid antigen tests were performed,44 new cases were identified (positivity rate 1.04%).
