RESEARCH QUESTIONNAIRE ON TAX BEHAVIOUR & TAXPAYER SATISFACTION WILL BE ISSUED TO SAMPLE BY EMAIL

 Filenews 18 October 2022

Research on tax behaviour and taxpayer satisfaction will be conducted 3rd time, as provided by its Strategic Planning, by the Tax Department.

According to an announcement by the Tax Department, which is transmitted by the PIO, the Department, following international practices as well as the knowledge of specialized staff and professional associates, has prepared a questionnaire which is completed and submitted only online.

For reasons of ease and speed in completing the participation in the survey, the questionnaire consists mainly of closed type questions (with the possibility of one or more answers), while for questions that based on the previous answers some questions are not applied, the respondent is automatically transferred to the next section, reducing in each case the length of the questionnaire and the required time to complete it.

He notes that the maximum time it takes to complete the questionnaire is limited to ten (10) minutes.

The questionnaire focuses on tax compliance in relation to the submission of returns and payment of various types of taxes imposed and collected by the Tax Department, on the opinion of taxpayers on the services offered by the Department as well as on the behaviour of the Department's staff.

Views are also sought on the tax system of Cyprus and tax behaviour in general, while demographic data are collected for the purpose of more accurate statistical analysis.

It becomes clear that the sample has been selected randomly across all taxpayers and it is emphatically emphasized that the answers are anonymous, confidential and the results will be used by the Tax Department strictly and only in the context of statistical analysis and research with the ultimate goal of providing high quality services to the taxpayer.

For this reason, the Tax Department invites all taxpayers, who will receive a relevant e-mail to the e-mail address they have declared to the Tax Department, to respond in the best possible way.

The participation of all selected taxpayers in the survey, it is noted, is particularly important for its success and the achievement of its goal.
