THEFT OF €6,000 FROM A PARKED CAR

The theft of a large amount of money from a parked car is being investigated in Paphos by the Police. The theft case was reported to the ICF shortly after 6.00 yesterday afternoon, by a 52-year-old man.

According to the 52-year-old's complaint, the theft was committed yesterday afternoon, specifically between the hours of 3.00p.m. and 6.00p.m., while his vehicle was parked in a coastal car park, in the area of Lemba, in Paphos. A bag containing more than €6,000 in cash, a watch, a mobile phone, and two school bags were stolen from the car.

The ICF Paphos is investigating the case.

The Police, for the purpose of preventing similar incidents of theft, urges the public, drivers and passengers of vehicles to never leave money or other valuables in their vehicle, even when it is locked.

It is also emphasized that, when parking the vehicle, even if only for a few minutes, the keys should be removed, the windows should be completely closed and the vehicle locked.
