The Royal Family opened an official book of condolence online, for people wishing to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II.
The online book allows members of the public to express their condolences and describe what the Queen meant to them.
Buckingham Palace announced that there are no physical books of condolence at the Royal Residences.
The digital book of condolence is available at: https://www.royal.uk/send-message-condolence.
A selection of messages will be passed onto members of the Royal Family and may be held in the Royal Archives for posterity, Buckingham Palace said.
