 Filenews 16 September 2022

From the uses of the two pavilions on the municipal beach of Peyia, the beds and umbrellas are expected to bring in revenues of more than one million euros to the coffers of the Municipality of Peyia this year, said the Mayor of Peyia Marinos Lambrou, noting at the same time that the goal of the Local Authority was achieved.

In his statements, Mr. Lambrou said that revenues are increased by about 25%, compared to the years 2020-2021. Compared to 2019, this year's revenue from these fiscal years hovered at 85%, he said.

According to Mr. Lambrou, this year's image of the beach was upgraded, with a greater offer of products in the two tourist kiosks hosted by the beach of Coral Bay.

This year, the Municipality of Peyia placed particular emphasis on cleanliness issues, employing additional cleaning crews, which worked with overtime, he concluded.
