Hellenic Bank's Basic account offers significant advantages, simplifying things for its customers, existing and new, in their daily transactions or in terms of payment processing.
The most important advantage, of course, is that with the acquisition of the Basic account, every customer of Hellenic Bank now has the opportunity to make free withdrawals in euros, from ATMs of any bank, either within the Republic of Cyprus or in any other country of the European Union.
All customers of the Bank can obtain the Basic account by opening a new account or by converting one or more existing savings accounts into a Basic account, by visiting one of the branches of Hellenic Bank. With a charge of just €1.50 per month, customers enjoy the opening and maintenance of the account, as well as the issuance, renewal and annual subscription of a simple debit card. At the same time, they can secure free access to the Bank's digital channels to monitor and manage their account, thus saving many charges that burden transactions at the cashiers.
It is worth noting that the total of the Basic account charges for the following payment services ("Basic account service package"), including the monthly subscription, cannot exceed €36 per year, while there is no limit to the number of transactions. The Basic account services package includes the following:
- Execution of incoming / outgoing remittances up to €5.000
- Cash withdrawals at the cashier (free of charge via Hellenic Bank ATM)
- Execution of standing orders
- Internal money transfers to the cashier (free of charge through the Bank's online channels)
As it is known, the execution of outgoing SEPA remittances (EU Member States), through Hellenic Bank Online Banking (Web Banking / Mobile App) for an amount up to €1,000, is provided free of charge to all customers of the Bank, while there is no limit to the number of remittances / transactions.
It is clarified that the "Basic account service package", as well as the monthly Basic account subscription are provided free of charge for the recipients of the UGS, as well as to persons falling within the scope of Law 64(I)/2017 (Civil Asylum Seekers, Political Refugees, Holders of Supplementary Protection, Victims of Trafficking and / or Exploitation of Persons).
