The Pafos Police proceeded with the arrest of four persons in a case of fraudulent appropriation of electricity.
According to the Spokesperson of Pafos ADE and Head of the Paphos ICF Michalis Nikolaou on 3.8.22 between the hours of 18.00 – 24.00 members of the Paphos ADE conducted an operation in an apartment complex in Chlorakas and it was found that in a specific apartment the electricity cable had been connected to the electricity box located in the corridor and which ended up inside the apartment.
An EAC officer visited the scene and the offence of ownership of electricity was established. As it transpired, four persons, of Arab origin, lived in the apartment, who were arrested on court warrants.
They were subsequently charged in writing and released.
