Unspeakable tragedy in the afternoon in Paphos. A 3.5-year-old girl who was vacationing with her parents in a Paphos hotel, was spotted floating dead in a swimming pool of the hotel unit.
According to the investigations of the Police, the little girl was with her parents, who come from Nicosia, in the pool area around 5.00pm. At one point, the little one reported to the parents that she would go to the small children's pool located next to the normal one. The fact of the presence of the parents in the place, as well as the existence of lifeguards in the hotel unit, reassured the parents who let their daughter go to play in the children's pool.
Under circumstances that are being investigated, however, a short time later the little angel was seen floating unconscious in the large pool. Immediately, lifeguards rushed and provided the little girl with first aid in anticipation of the ambulance that had already been called to the scene. The 3.5-year-old child did not seem to be regaining consciousness but at Paphos Hospital where she was transferred, it was found that she was dead.
Investigations into the tragic incident are ongoing.
