The Department of Labour Inspection of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance, in September 2022, will conduct a special campaign of inspections in Hotels, Restaurants and Premises for the Distribution of Ready-made Food.
The campaign was designed taking into account the main causes of accidents at work and occupational diseases that occur to workers in the economic activities that the campaign focuses on.
The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness among those involved in these sectors, in order to minimize accidents at work, occupational diseases and dangerous incidents.
The aim of the campaign is to inform those involved about the provisions of the Safety and Health at Work Legislation and in particular to check compliance with its provisions for the implementation of a Risk Management System, the definition and implementation, based on the Written Risk Assessment, of protection and prevention measures for the risks arising, as the case may be, from sharp objects, falling to the same level and falling from a height, hot surfaces, overturning shelves / falling objects from them, protection from biological hazards (e.g. COVID 19), movement on motorcycles / bicycles and storage and use of petroleum products.
