The supermarkets, bakeries, kiosks, petrol stations by province that offer cash withdrawals to customers from their cashiers has been posted on its website by JCC https://www.jcc.com.cy/participating-businesses/ . Card Cashback is a new service that gives the consumer the opportunity by using his card at the cashier of a kiosk/listed business to receive from the cashier an amount of up to €100. The Card Cashback Service allows debit card holders (Mastercard & VISA) to withdraw cash, free of charge, when visiting merchants' stores that will offer this service without having to search for ATMs.
The Service is available only when the consumer presents the card and not through Apple Pay / Wallet. Merchant stores can easily activate this service after contacting the provider.
During the purchase, and after the merchant activates the service, then the POS terminal will provide the possibility of withdrawing cash, up to €100, while the merchant can specify specific amounts (i.e. €20, €50), thus accelerating the process of completing the purchase.
