The poisoning of a large number of hunting dogs was prevented by the poison bait detection team of the Game and Fauna Service, by locating and collecting a large number of poisoned baits.
According to an announcement by the Service, yesterday morning, the poison bait detection team, in a check carried out at the location "Vounaros" of the community of Alassa (lLimassol area - to the east of the dam), found a large number of poisoned baits.
It is worth noting that this area will be allowed for the exercise of hunting dogs from 15/7/2022 and it is estimated that many hunters will visit it with their hunting dogs in the coming days.
Therefore, if the poison bait detection team of the Game and Fauna Service did not act preventively, the visit of hunters to the above area would develop into a very unpleasant experience with tragic consequences for hunting dogs.
