Yesterday's approval by the House of Representatives of the bills concerning the establishment and operation of the new School of Tourism, Hospitality and Entrepreneurship Management of cut, which will be housed in Paphos together with the Cyprus Academy of Tourism and Hospitality Professions, offering vocational training programs for food and other related professions, seals in the best and most effective way the efforts made in the last three years by the Local The authority for the operation of at least one Public University School in the city, says in a statement the Mayor Phaedon Phaedonos.
He states that the offer of courses in English will allow the School to attract students from the countries of the region and more widely, thus opening up new prospects for cooperation with the Tourism Industry both locally and internationally.
The Mayor states that this development, in combination with the presence of the American University of Beirut, which will also start its operation in September 2023, the Pafos Innovation Institute and Neapolis University, "dynamically puts Paphos on the map of Higher Education".
The Mayor recalls that the CUT was granted a suitable plot of land, with a total area of 4,300 sq.m., in a central part of the city and undertook the construction and completion of its modern, and with all the required specifications, facilities until July 2023, ensuring for this purpose the financing of the State, through European funds, amounting to € 15 million.
In total, the Mayor says, the Local Authority granted CUT a budget of more than €8 million. It also acts to create student dormitories with socially acceptable rent, as well as to secure adjacent pieces for their conversion into parking lots.
