A serious car accident occurred at noon on the busy Eleftheriou Venizelou Avenue in Paphos, resulting in the existence of three injured, the involvement of a total of four motorized means and the overturning of a vehicle on the roadway. Fortunately, the worst was avoided, since at the point of the collision there is a café and a bakery outside which the overturned vehicle stopped and in which there were many customers.
According to the police examinations, the car accident occurred when, under conditions that are being investigated, a vehicle moving in the stream of Eleftherios Venizelos towards the city centre collided with a second vehicle leaving a lane at the spot.
One vehicle overturned on the road and literally ended up at the entrance of the shops, fortunately without injuring patrons. The vehicles involved hit another parked vehicle and a parked motorcycle, causing them damage.
The collision injured three people on board the one vehicle involved, who were transported by ambulance to Paphos Hospital. They were detained for hospitalization and according to the estimates of the on-duty doctors their condition is out of danger.
