With the delivery of notices to all owners of premises that use public or private atrium and cause nuisance in residential units, the Municipality of Paphos proceeds, calling on them to immediately comply with the legislation.
According to a relevant announcement, the Municipality proceeded with this move within the framework of the exercise of legal responsibilities, after an almost unanimous decision - except for one vote - of the City Council in its last session.
Notices will be served to all owners of premises within the mayoral area, who use a public or private atrium for the installation of table seats or the conduct of musical events and emit sound, with or without obtaining a relevant permit, in a way that causes nuisance and disturbance in residential units located within a radius of several kilometres.
It is noted that in case of non-immediate compliance of the owners - as legally responsible - the Municipality will take drastic measures without further notice to restore the legality without excluding the seizure of equipment and / or the imposition of fines.
In such a case, for any damage, loss or damage caused, the owners of the premises will bear full responsibility and not the Municipality of Paphos since they do not comply with the law on their own responsibility, the announcement concludes.
