On the Nicosia-Limassol highway, from Sunday, March 20, 2022 and for a period of five months, in the section of the highway from 500 meters before the exit to Tseri near the Industrial Area of ​​Idali and for a distance of about 2 kilometrs, the construction works will continue of the perimeter highway of Nicosia. The traffic on the Nicosia - Limassol highway in the direction from Limassol to Nicosia and from Nicosia to Limassol, will be carried out in 2 traffic lanes in each direction and the lanes will be shifted to the east side of the existing highway. The traffic from the exit of the industrial Idali to the bypass of Tseri will be unimpeded, while the traffic from the bypass of Tseri to Nicosia through the highway will be closed. The traffic from the bypass of Tseri to Nicosia, will be carried out through the old road Nicosia - Limassol from the lights-controlled junction of JCC. It is noted that the above arrangement will last for a period of about 5 months. On the Nicosia-Limassol highway, from Wednesday, April 14, 2021, improvement works will be carried out at the Kornos junction. The works will last 15 months and concern on the one hand the improvement of the existing branches of the junction on the west side of the highway, for entry on the highway from Korno / Pyrga to Nicosia and for exit from Limassol to Korno / Pyrga, and on the other hand the creation of a new entrance side, from Korno / Pyrga to Limassol. Work on the Nicosia-Limassol highway, will be carried out in the period 9/5/2022 - 31/10/2022, except weekends, for the installation of emergency doors on the main island of the highway from the Alhambra to Germasogeia in twenty (20) points . During the works, the right lanes to Limassol and Nicosia will be closed in 100m sections. approximately at each point and the traffic will take place in the adjacent traffic lanes. In the section of the Nicosia-Limassol highway, for a distance of 1000m. approximately after the exit of Agios Georgios Alamanos, from Monday, 4/7/2022 until Thursday, 7/7/2022, from 18:00 in the evening until 06:00 in the morning of the next day, installation works will be carried out emergency doors on the main islet of the road. During the works, the right lanes to Limassol and Nicosia will be closed, in sections 200m long. about and the traffic will take place in the adjacent left lanes. Also on the highways in the province of Larnaca, from Monday 4/7/2022 to Friday 8/7/2022 will be carried out maintenance works of road lighting, as follows: On Monday 4/7/2022 and on Tuesday 5/7/2022, between the hours of 07:00 - 15:00 at the Larnaca - Ayia Napa Airport highway around the roundabout of Kalo Chorio. On Wednesday 6/7/2022 and Thursday 7/7/2022, between the hours 07:00 - 15:00 on the Larnaca - Nicosia highway from the Rizoelia roundabout to the GSZ roundabout in both directions. On Thursday 7/7/2022, between the hours of 07:00 - 15:00 on the Larnaca Airport - Ag. Napas, at the exits to Oroklini and Pyla. In the section of the Larnaca - Ayia Napa highway, from Larnaca Airport to the Rizoelia roundabout, in the period 4/7/2022 - 10/8/2022, between the hours 08:30 - 14:30 daily except weekends, will be made from the Department of Forests, watering works on the slopes of the highway in both directions to Ayia Napa and Larnaca Airport. During the works, part of the foundation of the highway will be closed, partially in a length of 100m. at a time. On the Larnaca - Kofinou highway between Larnaca Airport, the roundabout of Kalo Chorio to Kofinou, in the period 27/6/2022 - 29/7/2022, between the hours 08:30 - 17:00, every day, except weekends, pruning works are carried out on the central islet by the Department of Forests. During the works, the tangential traffic lane of the central island will be partially closed from both directions, for a length of 500 m each time, and the traffic will be channelled to the adjacent lane. In the province of Nicosia, specifically in Deftera, on Griva Digeni Avenue, Anthoupolis - Paleochori road, from Friday, May 27, 2022 and for a period of five (5) months, construction works of a roundabout will be carried out at the junction with Agias Marina Street. During the works, the traffic from Anthoupolis to Palaichori and vice versa will be channeled through a temporary bypass road with a length of approximately 300m. The junction of Griva Digeni Avenue with Agias Marina Street will be closed and drivers from Palaichori to Deftera are encouraged to use the previous exit to Anagyia - Pano Deftera. In Limassol, specifically in Germasogeia, at the junction of Christaki Kranou Street with Daidalides, in the period 21/2/2022 - 13/8/2022, construction works of a roundabout will be carried out. Also in Limassol, until Monday, July 11, rainwater drainage works will be carried out in the Courtyard of Frederick University and in a section of Marios Agathangelou and Petraki Giallourou Street, in the area of ​​Agios Georgios Havouzas, in the Municipality of Limassol. During the works, the streets Petraki Giallourou and Marios Agathangelou until the entrance of Frederick University will be closed for traffic. Also in Limassol, on Victoros Hugo Street, from its junction with Orfeos Street to 16th of June Street, in the framework of the construction works of the Great Flood Project of the Center of Limassol, stormwater installation works will be carried out. The works will last until Friday, July 22. During the works, drivers and pedestrians will be able to use a temporary detour that has been constructed for this purpose. On the road Mandria - Platra, in the period 28/6/2022 - 11/7/2022, between the hours 07:00 - 17:00, every day except Sunday, road maintenance works will be carried out. During the works, one lane will be closed in a length of approximately 100m and the traffic will be channelled to the adjacent lane and the traffic will be managed with the "STOP & GO" system. In Larnaca, at Spyros Kyprianou and Stratigou Timagia Avenue, on Monday, 4/7/2022 and on Tuesday, 5/7/2022, between the hours of 08:30 - 15:00, optical fibre works will be carried out in wells from Cyta. During the works, the left traffic lane from the roundabout of Salamina to the roundabout of the Port will be closed in four points for 300m. approximately (General Timaya will close at two points for 5) and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane. On the old road Paphos-Limassol, from the period 7/2/2022 - 7/9/2022 (for 7 months), at the junction of Hippocrates Street with the old road Paphos - Limassol (Makariou GD Avenue), in the Municipality of Geroskipou, road improvement works will be carried out by the Paphos Department of Public Works. During the works, the roads will remain open and the traffic to / from Geroskipou will operate according to the temporary road sign. On the old road Nicosia-Limassol, in sections from the roundabout Kalavasos to the exit to Marie, from Monday 27/6/2022 until Friday 1/7/2022, between the hours 08:00 - 15:00, will local repairs of the asphalt road are being carried out. During the works, in the above sections one lane will be closed and the traffic will be directed to the adjacent traffic lane using the STOP & GO marking. Also on the old road Nicosia-Limassol, the eastern road that connects the road with the port of Vasilikos will be closed for traffic in the period 23/4/2022 - 23/10/2022, as part of the construction works of Phase 1 of the Road Network of the Vasilikos Energy Center. During the works, all traffic from and to Vasiliko will be diverted to the respective west road, through the Marie Community.
