A 42-year-old Greek man arrived at Paphos airport from Thessaloniki with a suitcase full of drugs. YKAN believes that he is involved in a wider circuit with interconnections in both Cyprus and Greece.
In a check carried out by customs officers and members of the YKAN in the luggage of the passenger in question, on Sunday afternoon, they discovered a total of 32.6 kg of cannabis in his luggage. The amount of drugs was found in 26 packages and the 42-year-old was immediately arrested by members of the force.
The arrested person was brought before the Paphos District Court today, which ordered his eight-day detention.
YKAN continues its investigations into this important case, taking it for granted due to the large quantity of drugs that they are a lot that imported into Cyprus a wider circuit with connections in both Cyprus and Greece.
