The Ministry of Health informs that actions have already been taken that will solve any problems of delay observed for the benefit of patients regarding the process of transferring innovative treatments, chemotherapies and specialized drugs to the provinces.
It is worth mentioning the fact that for the first time after the instructions of the Minister of Health Mr. Michalis Hatzipantelas, it was decided to administer drugs approved by the Committee of Nominal Requests (EOA) to private hospitals that are contracted with GHS, for better and faster service of patients. The start date of the new program was set for 1/7/2022.
However, the software differentiation process has contributed to the delay observed and superhuman efforts are being made to settle the software issue and differentiate the process.
With a new circular sent on 30/6/2022, the Ministry of Health informed that the starting date is postponed to 2/10/2022.
Therefore, all necessary actions are being taken and every effort is being made to start this program from August 1, 2022.
The issue of the timely supply of medicines from all hospitals will be resolved by including innovative medicines in the lists reimbursed by the Health Insurance Organization, as the delivery in most cases will be done directly by pharmaceutical companies.
