The Ministry of Health announces that in the period 13 - 21 July 2022, 12 people died from coronavirus, while in the last week of July 15 - 21, 10.152 new cases were detected.
Specifically:
- 12 deaths reported They concern:
- Man, aged 85, who passed away on 13/07/2022
- Man, aged 86, who passed away on 13/07/2022
- Woman, aged 77, who passed away on 14/07/2022
- Man, aged 91, who passed away on 15/07/2022
- Woman, aged 91, who passed away on 15/07/2022
- Man, aged 91, who passed away on 17/07/2022
- Woman, aged 107, who passed away on 17/07/2022
- Man, aged 98, who passed away on 17/07/2022
- Man, aged 80, who passed away on 18/07/2022
- Man, aged 94, who passed away on 19/07/2022
- Man, aged 77, who passed away on 20/07/2022
- Man, aged 91, who passed away on 21/07/2022
In addition to the above cases, the death of a woman, aged 83, who passed away on 21/08/2021 (death declared late to the Health Monitoring Unit) was announced.
- Total number of deaths with COVID-19 as the ultimate cause: 1099.
- 104 COVID-19 patients are being treated in SHSO hospitals
- 11 in serious condition (ICU: 2 off ventilator/4 intubated, MAF: 5)
- 1 patient who ceased to be infectious continues to be hospitalized by intubation due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
Diagnostic tests for the week of July 15 - 21, 2022:
- A total of 111,067 diagnostic tests were performed
- 10,152 new cases were detected (total cases 556,048).
- Positivity rate in all tests 9.14%
Total number of molecular tests (PCR):
- 4,656 molecular tests were performed
- There were 768 positive cases
- Positivity rate 16.49%
Total number of Rapid Antigen Tests:
- 106,411 rapid antigen tests were performed
- There were 9,384 positive cases
- Positivity rate 8.82%
Tracking:
- 26 molecular tests were performed and 8 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 30.77%)
Private initiative:
- 3,987 molecular tests were performed, 624 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 15.65%)
- 84,771 rapid antigen tests were performed, 8,716 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 10.28%)
Through the programs of the Ministry of Health, 21,640 rapid antigen tests were carried out. 668 positive cases were identified.
- Sampling points: 12,009 rapid detection tests identified 477 positive cases (positivity rate 3.97%)
Other
- National Guard: 652 rapid antigen tests were performed and 40 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 6.13%)
- Nursing homes: 5,754 rapid antigen tests were performed, 101 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 1.76%)
- Closed facilities: 3,225 rapid antigen tests were performed, 50 new cases were identified (positivity rate of 1.55%).
