A new yellow storm warning was issued Monday by the Department of Meteorology.
According to the Weather Service, the warning is for strong thunderstorms and will be in effect from 11 a.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, until 1900 on the same day.
As noted, isolated strong thunderstorms are expected to affect the region from time to time, while rain intensity is expected to range between 35-50 millimetres per hour, while hail is likely to fall.
The weather forecast
Tonight temporarily increased cloudiness is expected to give isolated rains mainly on the west and north coasts. Winds will blow southwest to northwest, weak to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and the sea will be a little turbulent. The temperature will drop to around 20 degrees in the interior and on the coast and around 11 degrees in the higher mountains.
Local rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected tomorrow. During a thunderstorm, there is the possibility of hail. Winds will blow southwest to west, moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort and the sea will be a little turbulent until turbulent. The temperature will rise to around 28 degrees in the interior, around 27 degrees on the coast and around 19 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tomorrow night the weather will be mostly clear. The winds will blow southwest to northwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and the sea will be a little turbulent. On Wednesday afternoon, isolated rains or thunderstorms are expected in the mountains and areas of the interior. On Thursday the weather will initially be mostly clear while in the afternoon increased clouds are expected to give isolated rain in the mountains or inland. On Friday the weather will be mostly clear. The temperature will gradually rise over the three days to fluctuate close to the average climatic values.
