The ministry of health was deeply concerned by the increase in all epidemiological indicators, as well as in the number of hospitalized in hospitals due to coronavirus. According to the Ministry of Health, the increase in infections is due to the variants BA.4, BA.5.
Taking into account the above, the Council of Ministers decided:
a) as of June 30, 2022, the mandatory use of a protective mask by employees and customers in Pharmacies, clinical laboratories, as well as in people visiting sampling points to perform a test for COVID-19.
- It is reminded that employees and visitors over the age of 12 must wear a protective mask in hospitals, nursing homes, closed structures of vulnerable groups, outpatient clinics of hospitals, clinics, medical centres, rehabilitation centres and public transport.
- It is recommended to use a protective mask in crowded areas (indoor spaces, social event venues) to people who fall into the vulnerable groups of the population, and to people who socialize with high-risk people.
(b) from 30 June 2022, the reduction of the maximum charge price (cap) for molecular testing for SARS-COV-2 disease from €50 to €30.
c) as of July 4, 2022, as the maximum price charged for self-tests for COVID-19, is set at €1.70 per piece.
- It is reminded that the maximum charge price of the package of 5 self-tests is €6.
d) the extension of all existing measures until 31 July 2022 inclusive;
The Ministry of Health again calls for the observance of personal protection measures (mask, distancing, hand hygiene) in order to prevent the further deterioration of the epidemiological picture. As he says in his announcement, collective and individual responsibility has contributed greatly to dealing with the pandemic. The Ministry of Health in collaboration with the members of the Advisory Scientific Committee evaluates the data daily and if necessary, measures will be taken to ensure Public Health.
