Works will be carried out on Saturday on the main islet of the Limassol - Nicosia motorway, on the section Skarinou – Mouttagiakas, while from Monday maintenance works will begin on the tunnel of the Limassol - Paphos motorway.
According to an announcement by the Department of Public Works, on Saturday, June 18, between the hours of 06:00 to 16:00, on the central islet of the Limassol – Nicosia motorway, on the section Skarinou – Mouttagiakas, grass cutting and scraping works will be carried out by a private company.
During the execution of the works, the express lane of the road will be partially closed towards Limassol, at a length of 500m. approximately and the traffic will be channelled to the adjacent lane.
Moreover, as of Monday, June 20th, maintenance works will be carried out by the Department of Electromechanical Services in the tunnel of the Limassol - Pafos motorway.
Specifically, from 20 June to 24 June, between the hours of 08:00 – 19:00, works will be carried out on the tunnel in the direction to Limassol and the period 27 June to 1 July, in the direction to Paphos.
During the execution of the works, one direction of the tunnel will be closed and the traffic will be channelled to the oncoming traffic which will operate in two-way traffic.
The Department of Public Works apologizes for the inevitable inconvenience that will be caused and calls on the public to demonstrate the necessary understanding and to comply with the temporary road signs and the instructions of the Police.
