Aura brand baby wipes, made in Russia, were withdrawn from the market because they contained substances banned by the EU, Rapid Exchange of Information System (RAPEX) has announced.
The baby wipes contained propylparaben and phenoxyisopropanol, which are prohibited from use in cosmetics by the EU.
These substances are banned from cosmetic products used on the sensitive parts of children under 3 years of age. The Russian-made baby wipes did not comply with the provisions of the European cosmetics Regulation (EC).
The Cyprus Pharmaceutical Services urge the public, who had bought these wipes not to use them.
