APPLICATIONS FOR GRANTS FOR MOTORCYCLE EQUIPMENT

 Filenews 23 June 2022

From today, June 23, at 11 a.m., and until July 7, at 12 noon, the application process for the Grant Scheme for the Purchase of Protective Equipment for Motorcyclists begins, with a grant for the year 2022 of the purchase of a motorcyclist body airbag.

The Scheme is for a three-year period (2022-2024), with a total budget of €1,050,000 for 3 years (€350,000 per year) and will gradually subsidize the purchase of an airbag for motorcyclists, helmets, gloves, kneecaps or other equipment deemed necessary by the Support Unit of the Road Safety Council.

For the purchase of protective equipment of the airbag type for motorcyclists, the subsidy amount is €500 or the actual cost of its purchase, whichever is lower. The amount of the subsidy will be calculated on the basis of the purchase price including VAT. It is noted that the grant does not concern the purchase of services and the cost of purchase does not cover subscriptions for the purchase of protective equipment or the provision of protective equipment through the leasing method.
