Two deaths and 3,470 new coronavirus cases were identified in the last week in Cyprus. According to the announcement of the Ministry of Health, the positivity rate is 6.5%.
Specifically, 2 deaths were announced
They concern:
- Woman, aged 84, who died on 9 June
- Man, aged 91, who died on June 11
- 34 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in the hospitals of the CySEC
- 1 in serious condition (ICU: 0 out of snorkel/1 intubated, PPE: 0)
- 6 patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be hospitalized intubated due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
Diagnostic tests:
- A total of 53 took place. 416 diagnostic tests
- 3,470 new cases were identified (total cases 497,454).
- Positivity rate in total exams 6.5%
Total number of molecular tests (PCR):
- They took place 3. 168 molecular tests
- There were 267 positive cases
- Positivity rate 8.43%
Total number of rapid antigen tests (Rapid Test):
- 50,248 rapid antigen tests were performed
- There were 3,203 positive cases
- Positivity rate 6.37%
Tracking:
- 8 molecular tests were performed and 2 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 25%)
Private initiative:
- 2,546 molecular tests were performed, 203 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 7.97%)
- 41,834 rapid antigen tests were performed, 3,068 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 7.33%)
Through the health ministry's programmes, 8,414 rapid antigen tests were carried out. 135 positive cases were identified.
- Sampling points: 1,904 rapid screening tests identified 120 positive cases (positivity rate 6.3%)
Other
- National Guard: 70 rapid antigen tests were performed and 6 positive cases identified (positivity rate 8.57%)
- Nursing homes: 3,492 rapid antigen tests were performed, 9 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.26%)
- Closed structures: 2,948 rapid antigen tests were performed, no new cases were detected (positivity rate 0%).
