It took only a few hours for hitherto unknown burglars to pick up a whole fortune from a Russian residence in the Geroskipou area.
The perpetrators seem to have been aware of the existence of a large amount of money in the residence and were waiting for when its owners would be absent. On Friday night, when the occupants came out for a few hours, the assailants entered the house and after locating the spot where there was a sum of €30,000 in banknotes, they stole it and left the scene before being noticed.
The assailants even made sure to take with them during their escape the machines of the closed surveillance system that the Russian's residence had.
The Police are investigating the case.
