The Price Index of Construction Materials jumped by 21.81% in May 2022 compared to the corresponding month of 2021, while it continued the upward trend that follows from January 2021. For the month of May 2022 it amounted to 133.06 units (based on 2015 = 100), recording an increase of 0.28% compared to the previous month. Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, the index recorded an increase of 21.81%. By main product category, increases were recorded in metal products (36.33%), in wood products, insulation, chemicals and plastics (21.23%), in electromechanical items (14.08%), in mineral products (10, 24%) and minerals (9.27%).
