After the two 19-year-olds who have been arrested and are being held for the robberies of the bakeries in Paphos, a 17-year-old man is now in the hands of the Police as a suspect in the same cases. The Police are also looking for at least three other persons, all very young at similar ages to those already arrested as suspects.
The 17-year-old is said to have already admitted by questioning the commission of the offences and has given evidence to the authorities. Now, three robbery cases committed between the months of March and May 2022 are being investigated against the three youths.
The first robbery case was committed at dawn on March 22. Around 3 a.m. two men, who had their faces covered with a hood, entered a bakery in Paphos and with the threat of wooden bats, extorted a sum of money from the store's cashier.
The second robbery was committed at dawn on March 30. Around 4.40 a.m. entered a bakery in Paphos, two masked men, who under the threat of a wooden bat extracted a sum of money from the cashier and fled.
The third robbery case was committed around 4.30am. of 8 May. Three unknown men, wearing hoods, entered a bakery in Paphos and under the threat of a wooden bat, extorted money from the cashier.
Police examinations continue.
