A slippery fish appears to have been caught by the Pafos Police after the arrest of a 33-year-old from Georgia, a permanent resident of the province on Friday night. According to police sources, Georgian, who is unemployed, is involved in dozens of cases of burglaries, thefts and other malicious actions that have preoccupied the authorities and the society of Paphos in recent months.
According to the same sources, the 33-year-old is said to have admitted, after his arrest, interrogating himself, his involvement in dozens of cases of burglaries of residences and business premises, the theft from them of a large number of goods, as well as his involvement in at least two cases of malicious actions in premises and vehicles.
The foreigner was detained and today he is expected to be brought before the Pafos District Court for a detention order. Police investigations are continuing to reveal the 33-year-old's full range of action, as well as the possibility that he was acting as a member of a ring.
