UPDATED - VEHICLE FOUND, SUSPECT ARRESTED
An armed robbery was committed in the early hours of Tuesday morning in Paphos.
According to police statement the 44-year-old victim reported the incident which happened around 2 am. The victim claimed that after leaving his workplace and entering his vehicle, which was parked nearby, an unknown man, wearing a hood on his head and dark clothing, entered his car and under the threat of a knife told him to drive.
After a short distance, the perpetrator allegedly told the driver to stop and get out of the vehicle. The perpetrator then took the driver’s seat and fled the scene.
This vehicle is a TOYOTA RAV4 car with registration numbers MYT400. Inside the vehicle was the victim’s wallet containing a small amount of money and credit cards, as well as his mobile phone.
Police are continuing investigations.
