The weekly results (13-19 May 2022) for the coronavirus disease were published by the Ministry of Health, with the deaths of patients with the final cause of the coronavirus amounting to 6 and the new cases of the disease reaching 2,103 with the positivity rate being at 1.7%.
Analytically:
- 6 deaths reported
- Man, aged 77, who died on 14/05/2022
- Man, aged 65, who died on 15/05/2022
- Woman, aged 94, who died on 16/05/2022
- Woman, aged 93, who died on 16/05/2022
- Man, aged 82, who died on 16/05/2022
- Woman, aged 86, who died on 18/05/2022
- Total number of deaths with the final cause of COVID-19: 1057.
- 42 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in the hospitals of the CySEC
- 9 in serious condition (ICU: 0 out of snorkel/4 intubated, PPE: 5)
- 11 patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be hospitalized intubated due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
Diagnostic tests:
- A total of 123,569 diagnostic tests were performed
- 2,103 new cases were identified (total cases 488,189).
- Positivity rate in total exams 1.7%
Total number of molecular tests (PCR):
- 8,861 molecular tests were performed
- There were 315 positive cases
- Positivity rate 3.55%
Total number of rapid antigen tests (Rapid Test):
- 114,708 rapid antigen tests were performed
- There were 1,788 positive cases
- Positivity rate 1.56%
Tracking:
- 141 molecular tests were performed and 7 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 4.96%)
Private initiative:
- 4,819 molecular tests were performed, 230 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 4.77%)
- 73,391 rapid antigen tests were performed, 1,521 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 2.07%)
Through the health ministry's programs, 41,317 rapid antigen tests were performed. 267 positive cases were identified.
- Sampling points: 17,218 rapid detection tests identified 212 positive cases (positivity rate 1.23%)
Education
- Primary Education: 9,977 rapid antigen tests, 7 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.07%)
- Secondary Education: 2,710 rapid screening tests, no positive cases detected (positivity rate 0.00%)
- Test-to-Stay: 222 rapid antigen tests were performed and 1 positive case was identified (positivity rate 0.45%)
- Special Schools: 666 rapid antigen tests were performed and no positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0.00%)
Other
- National Guard Test-to-Stay: 21 rapid antigen tests were performed and 1 positive case was identified (positivity rate 4.76%)
- Nursing homes: 5,279 rapid antigen tests were performed, 44 positive cases identified (positivity rate 0.83%)
- Closed structures: 5,224 rapid antigen tests were performed, 2 new cases were identified (positivity rate 0.04%).
