The Society for the Development of Tourism and Promotion of the Region of Pafos, continuing its efforts to promote the countryside and with the aim of increasing the number of visitors to the Regional Museum of Rural Life of Akamas in Drousia and to the Akamas Geology and Palaeontology Information Center in Arodes, has scheduled for the next four months free guided tours as well as a live presentation of traditional arts and professions.
In the case of the Museum of Drousia, a licensed tour guide will be present at the site every Saturday from 9.30am-1.00pm to provide a guided tour, explanations, as well as general information in both Greek and English, while at the same time professionals of traditional arts and professions of the region, with the support of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, will demonstrate their skills and live will produce culture.
At the Akamas Geology and Paleontology Information Center in Arodes, the centre's officer throughout the opening hours of the site, i.e. from Monday to Friday during the hours of 10.00am-5.00pm and on Saturday from 10.00am-2.30pm, will provide a guided tour to visitors and will share with them information about the magical world of Cypriot geology and paleontology.
The Pafos Region ETAP invites with its announcement local and foreign visitors as well as the permanent residents to visit these unique points of reference and get to know the beautiful wider area of Akamas and Laonas, with free entrance to them.
The whole effort is part of the strategy of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism and the pafos bodies to promote the countryside, promote its special characteristics and restore it to sustainable development rates.
