DUST IN ATMOSPHERE AGAIN UNTIL MONDAY

A new wave of dust is expected to affect Cyprus from today until next Monday, with the Department of Meteorology pointing out that dust concentrations will be increased from time to time. At the same time, the temperature today will reach 30 degrees Celsius, while according to the Department, the temperature will not change significantly during the three-day period to range slightly above the average climatic values.

Weak low pressure affects the area. Dust will be observed in the atmosphere intermittently, the concentrations of which will temporarily increase, while a gradual decline is expected on Monday.


Today the weather will be mostly clear, but there will be increased, mainly high clouds. Winds will initially blow mainly northeast to southeast, weak 3 Beaufort, to gradually become southeast to southwest and to the west and north to northwest, weak and transient to moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be calm until a little turbulent and in the afternoon a little turbulent. The temperature will rise to around 30 degrees in the interior, around 24 degrees in the west, around 26 degrees in the rest of the coast and around 22 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight there will be increased high clouds. Winds will blow northwest to northeast, weak 3 Beaufort and the sea will be calm until a little turbulent. The temperature will drop to around 15 degrees in the interior, around 17 degrees on the coast and around 12 degrees in the higher mountains.

On Saturday the weather will be partly cloudy by medium and high clouds, which may give isolated light rains, from noon onwards.

On Sunday the weather will be mostly clear but during the midday hours, increased clouds that will be observed may give light rain.

On Monday the weather will be mostly clear.

The temperature will not change significantly during the three-day period to hover just above the average climatic values.
