Call for tenders for the project "Stabilization of a landslide and reconstruction of the Kathikas-Prodromi road near Drouseia".
The Department of Public Works has announced the Tender CSF/49/2020/E(A) for the project "Stabilization of the Landslide and Reconstruction of the Section of the Road Kathikas- Prodromi (E709) by Drouseia".
The project aims at the restoration and stabilization of the occurrence of the landslide, the provision of appropriate provisions and measures for the protection of the road (E709), as well as the mitigation of the mechanism for the development of future landslide phenomena in the area of the works.
The construction works include, among others, excavations, demolition and removal of existing structures, embankments, construction of drainage measures, construction of piles (headband piles and retaining wall with parapets), reconstruction of pavement / marking and repositioning of road equipment, as well as provisions for the geomechanical monitoring of the phenomenon of landslide after the execution of works.
The cost of the project, which is funded by the Republic of Cyprus, is estimated at €819,850 including VAT.
The signing of the Contract is expected to take place by around September and the execution of the works is expected to last 6.5 months.
